Wells Thompson
now plays for the Colorado Rapids of MLS. Wells played in 34 games for the Dynamo (2005-06), scoring 3goals
with 1 assist. He captained the 2006 Dynamo team that won the Regular Season National Championship, going
undefeated with a 14-0-2 record. At Wake Forest (2003-2006), Wells Thompson tallied 16 goals and 10 assists.
In 2003, he was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team. His senior year, Wells earned ACC All-Tournament
honors and helped Wake into its first ever College Cup final four appearance.
In January 2010, Wells was traded to the Colorado Rapids from the New England
Revolution. Thompson played three seasons for New England (2007-09) having been drafted by the Revolution
with the 5th pick in the 2007 SuperDraft. New England advanced to the MLS Cup finals his rookie
season.
