Scott Jones

School: University of North Carolina - Greensboro

Scott Jones currently plays for the Puerto Rico Islanders of USL-1.  Scott played in 32 games for the Dynamo (2004-06), tallying 8 goals and 11 assists in his three seasons.  He helped the 2004 squad to the PDL Eastern Conference Title.  The 2006 Dynamo team won the Regular Season National Championship, going undefeated with a 14-0-2 record.  Scott was the first ever UNC-Greensboro player to make First Team All-Conference four times (2003-2006), twice earning All-American honors.  He is fifth all-time at UNC-G with 41 assists, and scored 25 goals in his college career.

 

Scott has played for the Puerto Rico Islanders starting with the 2008 season.  He helped the Islanders reach the semi-finals of the 2008-09 CONCACAF Champions League.  Originally drafted by MLS club FC Dallas with the 28th pick in the 2007 SuperDraft, Jones spent the 2007 season on their Reserve Team – playing in every game, starting all but one.
