Hometown: Helsinki, Finland     Club: Vuosaaren Lukio 

  

Mahdi joins the Dynamo for his first season.  During his first three seasons at UNC-G, Mahdi has started all 56 games the Spartans have had, as a freshman; Ali earned a spot on the Southern Conference All-freshman team, and All-Tournament Team.

  

    

  

James Brace -- Midfielder -- Elon/Sophomore

Hometown: Hartlepool, England     High School/Club: High Tunstall/Sunderland AFC

   

James joins the Dynamo for his first season.  As a freshman at Elon, James started three of the 22 matches he appeared in and tallied three assists.  Before arriving at Elon, Brace was a member of the Sunderland AFC Youth Academy.

  

    

Brandt Bronico -- Midfielder -- UNC Charlotte/Freshman

Hometown: High Point, NC     High School/Club: Wesleyan Christian Academy/NC Fusion Academy

    

Brandt joins the Dynamo for his first season.  While at Wesleyan Christian Academy, Brandt was named All-Conference three times, NCISAA All-State twice, NCSCA and NSCAA All-Region twice and NSCAA All-America as a senior.  Bronico captained his NC Fusion Academy Team.

    

Jonathan Campbell -- Defender -- UNC Chapel Hill/Sophomore

Hometown: Greensboro, NC     High School/Club: Greensboro Day/NC Fusion Academy

    

Jonathan joins the Dynamo for his third season. During his first two seasons with the Dynamo, Jonathan has appeared in 15 matches, scoring one goal while assisting on another from the center back position.  This past season with the Tar Heels, Campbell was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team, 3rd Team NSCAA All-South Region Team and 1st Team Freshman All-American Team by CollegeSoccernews.com, after appearing in all 23 matches while scoring one goal and assisting on another.  Campbell was named the 2011 North Carolina State Player of the Year and earned NSCAA All-America honors.  He received NSCAA All-South region honors three times and was a four-time all-state selection, four-time all-conference selection and three-time PACIS Player of the Year honoree.  Campbell was also a member of the US U-18 National Team and participated in the U-19 Stuttgart Junior Cup.

    

Sean Davis -- Midfielder -- Duke/Junior

Hometown: Holmdel, NJ     High School/Club: Holmdel H.S./New York Red Bulls Academy 

  

Sean joins the Dynamo for his first season.  During his first two seasons at Duke, Davis has seen action in 30 matches scoring one goal and four assists. Sean was named to the All-ACC Academic Team this past season.   As a member of the NY Red Bulls Academy Sean, was named a NSCAA Youth All-American in 2009 & 2010, and was selected to the Parade All-American Team in 2010.  Davis was rated the #3 recruit nationally by TopDrawerSoccer.com.  Sean spent three semesters in the U.S. Soccer U-17 Residency Program, and played for the U-15, U-17 & U-18 USMNT.

  

    

Austin Dunker -- Defender -- Elon/Junior

Hometown: Greensboro, NC     High School/Club: Southeast Guilford H.S./NC Fusion Academy

   

Austin joins the Dynamo for his second season.  Last season with the Dynamo, Dunker appeared in 15 matches as a left back and tallied one assist.  During his first two seasons at Elon, Austin started 39 of 41 matches as a left back for the Phoenix, and was named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team his first season. While at Southeast high School, Dunker was named All-Conference and All-Region three times. In 2011, Austin was named the 14th best player in the South Atlantic Region by TopDrawerSoccer.com in 2009.

  

    

Kevin Durand -- Midfielder -- Lander/Sophomore

Hometown: Rennes, France     High School/Club: 

  

Kevin joins the Dynamo for his first season.  As a freshman at Lander, Kevin started all 16 matches he appeared in, and the led the team in assists with 12 and tied for the lead in points with 24 after adding another six goals.  Durand was named to the 2nd Team All-Peach Belt Conference and Daktronics All-Southeast Region Team for his efforts.

    

Nat Egglseton -- Defender -- Duke/Junior

Hometown: Chevy Chase, MD     High School/Club: Georgetown Prep/DC United Academy 

  

Nat joins the Dynamo for his first season.  During his first two seasons at Duke, Eggleston has twice been named All-ACC Academic Team, and has appeared in 40 matches notching three goals with two assists.  Nat was a member of the U-18 USMNT as a standout with both the DC United and Potomac Academy teams. Eggleston was the 35th ranked player in the country by TopDrawerSoccer.com’s 2011 class.

  

    

Holden Fender -- Midfielder -- NC State/Sophomore

Hometown: Marietta, GA     High School/Club: George Walton H.S./Concorde Fire

    

Holden joins the Dynamo for his first season, after transferring to NC State from UCLA this past spring.  As a freshman at UCLA, Fender saw action in 14 matches helping lead the Bruins to a Conference Championship.  Holden was a member of both the U-17 U.S. Residency Program and U-19 Indoor National Team and played with the U-20 USMNT in the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland.  Prior to entering UCLA, Holden was named 2012 Gatorade Player of the Year in Georgia and NCSAA All-American in 2011.

    

Peyton Ford -- Goalkeeper -- UNC Greensboro/Grad

Hometown: Jamestown, NC     High School/Club: Southwest Guilford H.S./Greensboro United 

   

Peyton returns to the Dynamo for his fourth season. Last season with the Dynamo, Ford saw action in 13 matches posting a 0.77 GAA while leading the Dynamo to the PDL Finals.  This past season at UNC-G, Peyton started all 17 matches for the Spartans and was named 2nd Team All Southern Conference.  As a junior at UNC-G, Ford posted a school-record 0.70 goals-against average while recording nine shutouts in 18 starts, leading the Spartans to a Southern Conference regular season crown.  He was named to the NCCSIA All-State Team and earned 2nd-team All-SoCon honors, as well as Academic All-Conference team recognition. As a sophomore, Ford started all 22 games in goal, helping the Spartans to a Southern Conference Title and an NCAA appearance.  He made the 2010 SoCon All-Academic team. His freshman year, Ford played 14 games in goal, leading the Southern Conference with 92 saves.  At Southwest Guilford, Peyton was a three-time All-Conference selection, earning All-State honors as a senior.

    

Charles Howard -- Midfielder -- Elon/Senior

Hometown: Upper Darby, PA     High School/Club: Upper Darby H.S./Lower Merion Velez

  

Charles joins the Dynamo for his second season.  Last season with the Dynamo, Charles saw action in three matches.  This past season with Elon, Howard started 16 of the 22 matches he appeared in, with one assist. Howard transferred to Elon for the spring season after playing two years at Otero Junior College, where he received Region IX first team honors.  He was a four-year starter for Upper Darby High School, earning first team all-league honors in his final two seasons. Howard was also a regional All-American as a senior and a two-time team MVP. His Lower Merion Velez club team was a state cup finalist in 2010 and a state cup champion in 2011.

    

Sebastien Ibeagha -- Defender -- Duke/Senior

Hometown: Missouri City, TX     High School/Club: L. V. Hightower H.S./Houston Dynamo Academy

    

Sebastien returns to the Dynamo for his third season.  Last season with the Dynamo, Seb appeared in 16 matches leading the Dynamo to the PDL finals while being named to the All-PDL Team and was one of three finalists for PDL Defender of the Year.  This past season at Duke, Ibeagha started all 18 matches and led the Blue Devils in both points (12) and goals (5) from the center back position.  Seb earned ACC Defender of the Year, NSCAA 1st Team All-South region and was named 2nd Team All-American by both CollegeSoccernews.com and TopDrawerSoccer.com.  He played in 9 matches for the Dynamo in 2011, notching one assist. As a Sophomore, Ibeagha tallied one goal while helping anchor a Duke defense that posted six shutouts en-route to an eighth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance for the Blue Devils. He earned second team All-ACC honors. In 2010, Ibeagha started 16 games for Duke at center back, helping the Blue Devils to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.  Ibeagha was named to the All-ACC Freshman Team and the NSCAA All-South Region Third Team.  In 2009, Sebastien was named Houston Dynamo Academy Player of the year.  Ibeagha was selected for the U-15 and U-17 U.S. National Teams, and is a current member of the U-20 U.S. National Team. He also trained with the U-23 U.S. National Team this past winter.

    

Hakan Ilhan -- Forward -- UNC Greensboro/Grad

Hometown: Stuttgart, Germany     High School/Club: Wirthschafts Gymnasium/Stuttgart Kickers U23

  

Hakan returns to the Dynamo for his third season.  Last season with the Dynamo, Hakan led the team in points (27) and goals (10), in 18 games while leading the Dynamo to the PDL Finals.  During his senior season at UNC-G, Ilhan led the Spartans in points (21), goals (7) and assists (7), and was named to the 1st Team All Southern Conference.  Hakan was selected as the #8 overall pick of the 2013 MLS Supplemental Draft.  He tallied a team-leading 22 points for the Dynamo in 2011, scoring a team-high 10 goals and adding two assists in 11 matches and was named to the All-PDL Eastern Conference Squad. Ilhan helped lead UNC-G to a Southern Conference regular season title as a junior, seeing action in all 20 matches and pacing the Spartans with 10 goals and five assists for a team-high 25 points. He earned first-team All-SoCon honors, was named to the NCCSIA All-State Team and was also a third-team all-region pick. After transferring from the University of Stuttgart to play at UNC-G in 2010, Ilhan started 21 games, amassing 12 goals and 7 assists earning first team All-Southern Conference honors.  He powered the Spartans to a Southern Conference Title and an NCAA appearance, making the SoCon All-Tournament Team and the NSCAA All-South Second Team.

    

    

Hassan Kouyateh -- Midfielder -- Louisburg/Sophomore

Hometown: Greensboro, NC     High School/Club: Page H.S./NC Fusion Academy

  

Hassan joins the Dynamo for his first season.  As a freshman at Louisburg, Hassan started all 16 games he appeared in scoring seven goals with 13 assists for a total of 27 points.  As part of the NC Fusion Academy, Hassan helped lead his squad to the National Finals twice including a 3rd place finish in 2012.

  

    

Alex Long -- Goalkeeper -- Duke/RS Senior

Hometown: Cary, NC     High School/Club: Green Hope H.S./CASL Chelsea FC Academy

  

Alex joins the Dynamo for his second season.  In 2011 with the Dynamo Alex started six matches and notched a 1.022 GAA. Prior to transferring to Duke for graduate school, and to finish up his eligibility, Alex started 35 matches for South Carolina.   At Green Hope H.S., Long was named a Parade Magazine H.S. All-American (2009).  He was also a NSCAA H.S. All-American (2008) and All-State honoree.  Alex was a member of the US U-18 National Team.

Robbie Lovejoy -- Midfielder -- UNC Chapel Hill/Senior

Hometown: Greensboro, NC     High School/Club: Page H.S./Triangle United

 

Robbie returns to the Dynamo for his third season. Last season Robbie scored a goal in the lone match he appeared for the Dynamo before being sidelined with a hip injury that kept him out half of his junior season at UNC Chapel Hill.  Lovejoy was still able to score five goals with two assists this past season at UNC in the 11 matches he appeared in.  In 2011 with the Dynamo, Robbie tallied five goals and three assists. Lovejoy started all 26 matches his sophomore season at UNC, scoring seven goals and dishing out five assists, as the Tar Heels claimed the NCAA College Cup, ACC regular season and tournament titles. He appeared in 12 games for the Tar Heels in 2010 as a freshman.  His season totals, three goals and one assist, helped the Tar Heels reach the College Cup Semi-Finals. A captain of the Page H.S. team his senior year, Robbie was MVP of the 2009 NCHSAA State Championship game.  A two-time member of the NCHSAA All-State team, he also earned All-District honors three times and was an All-Region selection.

    

Daniel Lovitz -- Midfielder -- Elon/Senior

Hometown: Wyndmoor, PA     High School/Club: Germantown Academy/Lower Merion Velez

   

Daniel joins the Dynamo for his second season.  Last season with the Dynamo, Lovitz 16 games scoring one goal with five assists.  Last season at Elon, Danny started 22 matches, scoring three goals with two assists for the SoCon Champs.  During his first two years at Elon, Lovitz started 34 of 40 matches, notching two goals while assisting on another eight, and earned SoCon All-Freshman team honors.  Lovitz helped lead Germantown Academy to two Inter-Academic League championships in 2006 and 2009 and was named all-conference as a senior.  His Lower Merion Velez club team captured state cup titles in 2004 and 2008, as well as Region I/Region I Premier League championships in 2008 and finished third at the 2009 National Championships.

  

Warren Marshall -- Midfielder -- UNC Chapel Hill/Freshman

Hometown: Clemmons, NC     High School/Club: West Forsyth H.S./NC Fusion Academy

 

Warren joins the Dynamo for his first season.  Warren transferred from Forsyth Country Day to West Forsyth so he could graduate and enroll early at UNC Chapel Hill.  Warren was named to both the NSCAA and Gatorade All-American Teams while at West Forsyth this past season.  Playing with the NC Fusion Academy Marshall was named South Conference Player of the Year this past season.

  

    

Alex Martinez -- Midfielder -- NC State/Senior

Hometown: Rock Hill, SC     High School/Club: Northwestern H.S./Discoveries SC

    

Alex joins the Dynamo for his first season.  Martinez transferred from High Point to NC State after his sophomore season, and was named 1st Team All-ACC, NSCAA All-South Region Team last season after leading NC State in points (32), goals (11) and assists (10).  During his two seasons at High Point, Alex appeared in 30 games, scoring 12 goals with 13 assists and was to the Big South All-Freshman Team.  Martinez was named NSCAA High School All-American in 2010 and was four time All-Region selection while at Northwestern High School.

  

    

Sam McBride -- Defender -- Elon/Sophomore

Hometown: Greensboro, NC     High School/Club: Wesleyan Christian Academy/NC Fusion Academy

   

Sam joins the Dynamo for his first season.  As a freshman at Elon, Sam started 17 of the 20 matches he appeared in and had one assist and earned SoCon. All-Freshman Team honors.  While at Wesleyan Christian Academy, McBride earned All-State, All-Region and Scholar All-American honors after scoring 30 goals with 25 assists in his final two seasons.

    

Tom McCready -- Midfielder -- Limestone/Junior

Hometown: Ellesmere Port, England     High School/Club: John Moores University/Everton Youth Academy

   

Tom joins the Dynamo for his second season.  Last season with the Dynamo, Tom appeared in 19 games and scored six goals.  This past season at Limestone, Tom was named to the 1st Team All-Carolinas Conference and NSCAA 2nd Team All Southeast Region after leading the team in goals (9) and points (23).  As a freshman, Tom started all 16 matches in which he appeared for Limestone College last fall. McCready finished with four goals and three assists for the Saints.  He played for Everton Youth Academy from 2001-09, helping the team earn a runner-up finish in the Nike Cup Premier League Competition in 2008. McCready was selected to Premier League Select 11 for the FOCA Bosnia Tournament in 2008.  He also played one season with Hibernian FC Youth.

    

Mamadee Nyepon -- Forward -- High Point/Junior

Hometown: Greensboro, NC     High School/Club: Page H.S./NC Fusion Academy

 

Mamadee joins the Dynamo for his second season. Last season, Mamadee scored eight goals with three assists in 20 matches for the Dynamo.  This past season at High Point, Nyepon led the team in points (29), and goals (13), while assisting on three other goals.  Mamadee was named 1st Team All-Big South for his efforts.  As a freshman at High Point, Mamadee saw action in all 21 matches with seven starts for High Point last fall. Nyepon finished third on the team in goals with 5 and also notched two assists.  He was a four-year letter winner at Page High School, where he helped the team win the 2009 4A state championship. Nyepon scored 57 goals in 62 career matches, including 29 goals during his senior campaign to earn NCHSAA Offensive Player of the Year honors.  He was a two-time All-State Selection, two-time All-Region pick, two-time Conference Player of the Year and three-time All-Conference honoree.

  

Boyd Okwuonu -- Defender -- UNC Chapel Hill/Junior

Hometown: Edmond, OK     High School/Club: Liberty H.S./FC Dallas

 

Boyd joins the Dynamo for his second season.  Last season for the Dynamo, Boyd appeared in 8 games after missing part of the season with U-20 USMNT duties.  This past season at Chapel Hill, Okwuonu appeared in 21 matched and was named 1st Team All-ACC, 1st Team NSCAA All-South and 2nd Team All-American by both CollegeSoccernews.com and TopDrawerSoccer.com. Boyd started nine of 10 matches this past year for the U-20 USMNT.  As a freshman, Okwuonu earned ACC All-Freshman team honors and helped anchor a Tar Heel defense that amassed 12 shutouts en-route to the ACC regular season, ACC Tournament and NCAA College Cup crowns.  He was a member of the US U-17 squad and participated in the 2011 Northern Ireland Milk Cup for the US U-18 National Team.

  

Aaron Reifschneider -- Mid./Def. -- UNC Greensboro/Senior

Hometown: Frisco, TX     High School/Club: Wakeland H.S./Dallas Texans Academy

  

Aaron joins the Dynamo for his second season.  Last season for the Dynamo, Aaron appeared in 15 matches scoring one goal, while helping to lead the Dynamo to the PDL Finals.  So far at UNC-G, Aaron has started 47 of the 49 matches he’s appeared in recording 8 assists.  As a freshman, Reifschneider earned a spot on the SoCon All-Freshman team and was also named to the SoCon All-Tournament team as the Spartans claimed the title and an NCAA berth.  Reifschneider was a two-time district MVP and a first-team all-state selection at Wakeland High School, where he also earned all-district honors all four years. He served as captain of his club team, the Dallas Texans Academy, which won the Disney Showcase five times in his seven seasons, most recently in 2009, as well as a USYS U-17 national title in 2008.

  

David Reittinger -- Midfielder -- UNC Greensboro/Junior

Hometown: Greensboro, NC     High School/Club: Northwest Guilford H.S./NC Fusion Academy

 

David joins the Dynamo for his second season.  Last season with the Dynamo, David appeared in 20 matches, with three goals and one assist. This past season at UNC-G, Reittinger started 15 of the 17 matches he appeared in.  As a freshman, David started all 20 matches for the Southern Conference regular season champion UNCG Spartans. Reittinger scored two goals and added one assist and earned SoCon All-Freshman team honors.  At Northwest Guilford, he earned all-state honors and Region 7 Player of the Year accolades as a senior after setting school records with 43 goals and 12 assists. He helped lead Northwest to conference championships in 2008 and 2010. Reittinger was selected to play for the West squad in the East-West All-Star game and was named game MVP.

  

Alec Rotunda -- Midfielder -- Davidson/Sophomore

Hometown: Greensboro, NC     High School/Club: Grimsley H.S./NC Fusion Academy

 

Alec joins the Dynamo for his first season.  As a freshman at Davidson, Alec saw action in 13 games and scored one goal.  Prior to missing his senior season with an injury, Rotunda was an All-Conference and All-Region selection from Grimsley High School.  Alec played captained the NC Fusion U-18 Academy Team.

  

Tom Rusling -- Goalkeeper -- Lees-McRae/Senior

Hometown: Sheffield, England     High School/Club: Sheffield College/Barnsley FC 

  

Tom joins the Dynamo for his first season, having played with divisional foe the West Virginia Chaos last season.  With the Chaos, Rusling started 13 matches posting a 6-3-3 record.  During his first three seasons at Lees-McRae, Rusling has started every match, twice being named to the NSCAA DII All-Southeast Region Teams, and Carolina All-Conference Teams.  Prior to coming to the U.S., Tom graduated from Sheffield College and played club soccer for Barnsley FC.

  

Joaquin Serrano -- Midfielder -- William Carey/Sophomore

Hometown: Soto Del Barco, Spain     High School/Club: Universidad de Corona

  

Joaquin joins the Dynamo for his first season.  This past season at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS, Serrano started eight of the 17 matches he appeared in and scored five goals with five assists.  Prior to arriving in the States, Joaquin was part of Spain’s U-16 National Team, and played his club soccer with both Deportivo de La Corunha and Sporting de Gijon.

  

  

Clément Simonin -- Defender -- NC State/Junior

Hometown: Lorient, France     High School/Club: 

  

Clément joins the Dynamo for his second season. Last season with the Dynamo, Clément saw action in 16 matches helping lead the Dynamo to the PDL finals. At Lander during his first two years, Simonin has started all 32 matches scoring two goals with three assists.  Clément was twice named to the All-Peach Belt Conference and earned NSCAA All-Southeast Region third team honors his freshman season and 1st Team this past season. Clement is transferring to NC State this fall.

  

  

James Smith -- Midfielder -- Lees-McRae/Junior

Hometown: Eastbourne, England     High School/Club: Cavendish College/Brighton & Hove Albion 

  

Jamie joins the Dynamo for his first season.  This past season at Lees-McRae, Smith started all 17 games and scored two goals with three assists for the Bobcats.  As a freshman, Jamie earned both Daktronics & NSCAA DII All-Southeast 2nd Team Honors, after scoring six goals with eight assists.  Smith graduated from Cavendish College in Eastbourne, England, and played professional club soccer with Brighton & Hove Albion.  Smith made 70 appearances with the youth team and 30 appearances with the reserve squad.

    

Austin Yearwood -- Defender -- High Point/Sophomore

Hometown: Charlotte, NC     High School/Club: South Mecklenburg H.S./Charlotte Soccer Academy

 

Austin joins the Dynamo for his first season.  As a freshman at High Point, Austin appeared in all 20 matches with two assists and was named to the Big South All-Freshman Team for his efforts.  As part of the Charlotte Soccer Academy, Yearwood took part of the US U-17 National Residency Program in 2009.  Coming out of South Mecklenburg High, Austin was ranked the #50 prospect in the 2012 Class by ESPNHS.
